Jind gangrape: Post-mortem reveals Dalit girl's vital organs ruptured, raped by 3-4 people

Post-mortem reports of the Dalit girl from Harayana whose body was recovered in Jind on Saturday has revealed that her body was injured, mutilated and raped by at least three or four people.

The report also said that her body showed signs of drowning, suggesting that efforts were made to dispose her body off by throwing her into a canal.

"Her private parts were mutilated and there were a lot of internal injuries. A hard and blunt thing was inserted inside her," Dr SK Dattarwal, PGI Rohtak, told ANI.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said in Karnal on Saturday that one person has been identified in the case.

Deputy SP Kaptan Singh said that an FIR has been registered under section 302 IPC and two SITs have been constituted to investigate the case.

“If administration had done its job well, an incident like this would have never happened,” said the father of the victim.

The victim comes from a poor Dalit family and was a student of 10th standard from Jhansa village of Kurukshetra.

She had left home for tuition on January 9. A police complaint was made in Jhansa police station by the father of the victim who were suspecting a missing local boy from the same day.
