DUBAI: The Food and Environment Laboratories at the Dubai Central Laboratory, DCL, of Dubai Municipality, in cooperation with the Food Safety Department, is conducting tests on various types of food products, which are displayed and sold to the public in the Global Village.

Dubai Municipality believes that the safety of residents and visitors in the emirate should be maintained, considering that the Global Village is one of the most visited places by people from all over the world.

The tests are done using the latest equipment and techniques in the field of microbiological and chemical testing, in order to ensure the quality and safety of products and to make sure that they are free from any commercial fraud or pathogens leading to food poisoning according to ISO 17025 standards. The products that are being tested include honey, spices, cheese, herbal tea products, noodles and ready-to-eat foods.
