Later yesterday afternoon, she treated her 757,000 followers to a snap of her reclining in the pool, her golden tresses pulled back into a tousled bun on top of her head as she took some down time after the whirlwind of the past few months on Strictly Come Dancing.

However, eagle-eyed fans flooded to social media to share their theory that Mollie wasn’t alone on her retreat.

In an incredible coincidence, her rumoured beau AJ, 23, also took to the pool the same day, sharing snaps of his outing with his own fans.

Revealing that he’d been for a “gym and swim”, the British professional dancer stuck his tongue out for a mirror selfie which he uploaded for his 157,000 Instagram followers yesterday.

Shortly afterwards, he also stripped off for a topless pic, showing off his rippling abs and impressive physique as he teased social media users with a glimpse into his Sunday morning.

Spying the similarity in their snaps, one person commented: “He’s defo with Mollie at the pool [winking emojis].” (sic)

“Both… You and Mollie looking absolutely gorgeous. And in a swimming mood,” another said.

A third wrote: “Did anyone else notice that AJ and Mollie both went swimming this morning?”

Meanwhile, a fourth encouraged AJ to “hang out with Mol before you go on tour”.

AJ recently confessed his dismay that he and Mollie’s partnership will be split when the Strictly live tour kicks off later this week after it was confined that she would not be taking part.

“Unfortunately Mollie isn’t doing the tour which is quite sad,” he admitted. “But I get to do the group dances.

“Me and Mollie are friends for life,” he told the Daily Star.

The Strictly heartthrob also took the time to once again deny the dating rumours which have been swirling around the pair since early on in the series last year.

“It doesn’t bother me,” he said of the relationship claims. “At the end of the day, I’m my own person.”
