Local lawmakers will host public gatherings through April.

Now that the 2018 session of the Iowa Legislature is underway, lawmakers will spend many weekends over the next few months talking to constituents at public forums across the state.

Last year, several hundred constituents attended legislative forums across southeast Iowa in Burlington, Fort Madison, Keokuk and Mount Pleasant.

Here is the schedule this year:

Burlington
