Hong Kong police arrested a 42-year-old South Korean man on Sunday on suspicion of killing his wife and son in a luxury hotel room in West Kowloon.
At 8:30am, police received a report that three people were injured inside a room at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong on Austin Road West in Kowloon West, according to a government release.

, who himself was in a semi-unconscious state, had sustained injuries to his hand and face. He was arrested for murder and sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A 13-centimeter-long knife was seized in the hotel room.
The case came to light after the suspect reportedly called a friend in South Korea at 7:30am, saying he and his family wanted to commit suicide, Apple Daily reported, adding that he said he was facing financial difficulties.
The friend then called South Korean police, who got in touch with the country's consulate in Hong Kong, which reported the case to local police.
It was understood that the suspect was a businessman connected with a chocolate company and were in Hong Kong for a vacation. They had stayed in the hotel since last Wednesday, Headline Daily reported.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death of the woman and boy. The suspect has been detained for further inquiries.
Investigation by the Yau Tsim District Crime Squad is under way.
