Hogan netted his second goal in as many games to secure a narrow win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Discussing Bruce’s hunt for a striker, he said: “I will tell the manager: ‘Don’t bother. If you want to go and get someone, go on, but he isn’t going to play because I will keep my place.’
“I ain’t giving it up now.”
