President Rodrigo Duterte Duterte has appointed Volunteer Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) chair Dante Jimenez as chairman of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission.
Duterte signed Jimenez’s appointment on January 12.
Aside from Jimenez, Duterte also appointed Greco Belgica, Gregorio Luis Contacto III, and Rickson Chiong as commissioners.
In October 4, 2017, Duterte signed Executive Order (EO) No. 43 creating the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The EO stated that the commission is mandated “to directly assist the President in investigating and/or hearing administrative cases primarily involving graft and or corruption against all presidential appointees.”
It said the commission would have “power, on a complaint, or motu proprio, and concurrently with the Office of the Ombudsman to hear, investigate, receive, gather, and evaluate evidence, intelligence reports, and information in administrative cases against all presidential appointees.” /je
