(MENAFN) Qatar media reported the country to have implemented a recent service from South Korean shipping line Hyundai Merchant Marine in an attempt to improve its trade tries with a number of ports in Asia regardless of the continued blockade.
Hamad port published a statement on its official website where it announced that the new service will be operated on a weekly basis with a 13,154 TEUs capacity, covering key Asian ports.
Hamad Port director Capt Abdul Aziz al-Yafei declared ''starting a new direct service from one of Asia's largest shipping lines to Hamad Port, would help in enhancing customer options and providing fast and secure solutions to local and international import/export companies with less transit time and lower cost.''
