FALCONER, NY -- 11 people were rescued Sunday afternoon following a massive fire in the Village of Falconer in Chautauqua County.

The fire struck around noon, with crews actively battling flames for at least three hours.

2 On Your Side was told one firefighter was injured on the scene, but everyone was able to get out unharmed.

The same can't be said for the building, though, which was severely damaged.

One Falconer resident said, "People losing everything - their home, their possessions, everything...It's devastating."

We're told the Falconer School District, Red Cross, and Salvation Army are working together to offer temporary shelter Sunday night to those displaced by the fire.
