In a stern action against illegal construction in the city, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) has demolished 42 properties in Karol Bagh and Civil Lines Zone in the last few days.
A senior NMC official said that demolition action was taken against 13 illegal properties in various areas of Karol Bagh Zone and 29 properties in Civil Lines Zone in violation of the building bylaws.
“In addition to this, sealing action was taken against 2 properties in Karol Bagh Zone. In Karol Bagh Zone, demolition action was taken in block No. 67, Bagh Raav G, C 110/2 Narayana Industrial area Phase I,” he said.
The action was taken by with the help of local police.
It may be noted that North Corporation had also carried out sealing drive in Old Delhi’s business hub Sadar Bazar for violating laid down rules of the Master Plan of Delhi-2021.
