    Gen Y is constantly on the lookout for better work opportunities, finds a Monster.com survey
    More than half of the millennials surveyed said they landed a job within three months of searching, while 20% took more than a year to find employment.

    I. How did they find their first jobs?

    28% through job sites

    18% through family and friends

    10% through campus placements

    8% through recruiters

    6% through internships

    II. How long did they stay in their first jobs?

    33% are still in their first jobs

    29% quit their first job in a year

    11% lasted in their first jobs for more than 3 years

    III. Why did they quit?

    60% for professional growth and better opportunities

    26% to earn more money

    20% to seek more challenges at work

    IV. The challenges in their first jobs?

    37% were not prepared for working life

    29% lacked industry knowledge and experience

    20% found work hours long and inflexible
