Zaker Party has welcomed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her statement over holding the upcoming general election under an election-time government as per the constitution.
In a statement issued on Saturday the Chairman of Zaker Party, Pirzada Alhaj Khwaja Mostafa Amir Faisal Mujaddedi, said: "The Prime Minister's opinion about forming an election-time government as per constitution is appropriate and fitting."
"It is essential for democracy to hold the national parliamentary election in a festive ambiance with all the political parties taking part in it. For this purpose, the election-time government must be formed as per the country's constitution," he said.
"There is no way to form any election-time government bypassing the constitution, following the wishes of a particular political party," the Zaker Party leader also added.
Pirzada Mostafa Amir Faisal said: "In the interests of our nation, everyone should be ready to look beyond the narrow bounds of personal and party interests."
The Zaker Party Chairman said: "It is necessary to get rid of the intention to capture power by any means. It will be fitting for all political parties to participate in the election with the readiness to accept the mandate given by people. It is sensible to move forward systematically to the path of democracy."
