'Shithole' being projected over the entrance wall of Trump International Hotel
The projection that was alive for about 45 minutes read as, "Not a DC resident? Need a place to stay? Try our shithole," with poop emojis featuring at the background.
A controversy had been erupted following the US President's 'shithole' remark on some African countries on last Thursday. In a meeting to discuss the Dreamers issue and immigration reform, Trump allegedly referred some African nations as 'shithole countries' and reasoned the logic of immigrating people hailing from those countries to the US.
Trump was left red-faced after the incident, as social activists across the world rallied together in social media to register their protest, calling the President 'racist'.
However, the US President denied allegations and said, "I am not a racist. I'm the least racist person you will ever interview", in an encounter with the reporters on Sunday.
The city-based multimedia artist Robin Bell took the responsibility of the incident and told that its one of the 15 such attempts made by him on the same hotel, reported CNN.Projections of “This Is Not Normal” and “Sh*thole” on the Trump Hotel in Washington DC. Was great to project with @notnormalfilm to spread the word about the new documentary and show off the projections we have been doing over the last year. #resisthttps://t.co/tZCUqudL6Apic.twitter.com/nWURHxn4Bp
