Prime Minister Netanyahu was accompanied by his wife at Raj Ghat as they paid their respects to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial.

"My visit comes after Prime Minister Modi's historic visit to Israel last year. His visit brought immense enthusiasm to Israel-India ties. These visits will strengthen relations between the two countries and its people," Israel's Netanyahu said.


"This has been a deeply moving trip for me and my wife," said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a short statement after her ceremonial welcome.
