A woman was killed after rape at Khalapara village in Nandail upazila of the district.
On information, police recovered the beheaded body of the unidentified woman, aged about 25, from a mustered field in the village on Saturday.
A murder case was filed in this connection, said Md Moklesur Rahman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Nandail Police Station.
Criminals might have killed the woman after rape, said the OC.
