President instructs to abolish gazette on alcohol 
President Maithripala Sirisena, during a meeting in Agalawatte said that he has given instructions to officials to abolish the Gazette issued with regard to alcohol.
Accordingly, the recent gazette which allowed females to buy alcohol and extension of business durations of liquor shops will be scrapped.
