For two and a half quarters Friday night in Crosby, the basketball game between the Barbers Hill Lady Eagles and the Crosby Lady Cougars was everything fans had hoped for. The two teams traded buckets and exchanged leads repeatedly.  But a 41-point performance by BH’s Charli Collier and 14-0 run to close out the third quarter proved too much for Crosby and Barbers Hill grabbed a 64-56 victory.

“Any time you come over here to Crosby and you win it’s a good thing,” said Barbers Hill head coach Tri Danley. “The kids played hard and we fought. We knew they were going to play their best game and they did. They played us about as tough as we’ve been played in a long time. They hung in there, we turned the ball over a little bit more than normal, which you have to give Crosby a lot of credit for that.”
