Despite losing Saturday to New England in the second round of the playoffs, the Titans earned their highest local television ratings in eight years.
The 35-14 loss at New England broadcast on CBS earned a 39.9 rating, according to WTVF senior programming director Mark Binda. That means 411,249 Nashville households tuned into the game, which was played at prime time.

It was the highest TV rating for a Titans game since the 2009 season opener against Pittsburgh, which earned a 40.8.
The Titans' ratings, which were lower than usual fluctuating in the 16.3-22.6 range for much for much of the season, soared at the end.

The last game of the regular season against Jacksonville (27.4), the first round of the playoffs at Kansas City (30.2) and Saturday's game averaged a 32.5 rating.
