Michel Wolf, author of the book Fire and Fury, says that 100 percent of the people closest to Trump believe “something is fundamentally wrong.” It has been said that our president does not read and is unable to focus and comprehend the “issues.”

Trump has saidhis greatest assets are “mental stability and being like, really smart.”

“A stable genius,” Trump has called himself.  What normal person says things like this?

These are just some of the comments that are now in print that everyone has hinted at over the last 13 months.

We have a president under investigation by the special counsel and who may be the focus of  charges of money laundering, a criminal offense.

I’m sure that Trump feels that the “walls” may be closing in. And continually saying there is no “collusion” will not make the investigation go away. I’m reminded of the Shakespeare saying, ”The lady doth protest too much.”

As for his constant lying, either because he can’t tell the difference between what is real or not or because he does not care. This is another symptom of a mental aberration.

There is now a national discussion concerning his mental ability. When people start questioning our president’s mental capability it is a serious issue.

It is amazing to me that some letter-writers still think Trump is doing a great job.

One young woman being interviewed on CNN indicated Trump was “saving western civilization.” I’m reminded of the old adage you can “lead horses to water but you can’t make them drink.” That might be a parable for the Trump base.

It is imperative that the Republicans, who have sworn an oath to uphold their country, stand up to the president and question his fitness.
