State Police say two people are dead after their car crashed during a police pursuit in northern Indiana, seriously injuring two other people in another car.
Police say the two people were pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night after their car crashed into three other vehicles along U.S. 30 in the city of Warsaw, about 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
Police are withholding the victims' names pending notification of relatives.
A state trooper investigating a reported theft at a Warsaw grocery store began chasing the suspect vehicle and pursued it until it drove through a red light at an intersection and crashed.
Two people seriously injured when the fleeing car struck their vehicle were taken to a Fort Wayne hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known Sunday.
