One dead after Lincoln County crash

One person is dead after a Saturday evening crash north of Beresford.

The 25-year-old man killed in the crash was driving west on 294th Street at 5:30 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled near the intersection of 294th Street and 473rd Avenue, according to a release from the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital, where he later died.

The crash is still under investigation, and the name of the victim has yet to be released, pending notification of family members.
