Game of Thrones season 8: Did the HBO boss just let slip a big Iron Throne spoiler?
GAME OF THRONES will return in 2019 and now one HBO boss appears to have let slip a big spoiler.
Fans of the fantasy epic have been wondering who will sit end up on the coveted Iron Throne since the inception of the show, but it seems there’s one man who holds all the answers.
Casey Bloys, HBO’s programming president, hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that the en result might not be as simple as once thought.
When asked if there was a “definitive answer” about who will claim the Iron Throne, Casey deflected: “I don’t even want to answer that!
“But it’s exciting,” he laughed.

The boss also revealed that once Game of Thrones has ended, there will be no return for it.
“This story, A Song of Fire and Ice, is done,” Casey insisted. “There’s no revival, reboot, spin-off talk.”
However, he did open up on the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequels that are due to arrive following the completion of the original show.
Little is known of what the episodes will contain, but Casey did tease when fans can expect to see the sequels.

He revealed: “There are five of them. If we do a pilot and series, nothing is going to air on HBO until at least a year after the final season.
“We’re not doing a final season and then, ‘Following it at 11pm…’ I’ve seen some exciting material.
“We have really great writers working on these; it’s very exciting. But there’s no timetable.
“Not everybody is on the same schedule, so I’ve seen different versions of different things that are potentially exciting.”

This comes as Jon Snow star Kit Harington confessed that there’s “so much to do” as filming rumbles on of the final season.
The 30-year-old told The Sun: “We know we have six episodes - we are not sure whether they will run for 70 minutes or even 90 minutes.
“There is so much work still to do. We haven’t put together a full episode yet as there is more filming.
“The length will be a network decision. But we are busy,” he explained.
Game of Thrones will return to Sky Atlantic in 2019.
