WATCH: Why John McNulty hire makes sense for Rutgers

Rutgers' offensive coordinator search came to a conclusion Thursday when head coach Chris Ash tabbed former RU assistant John McNulty.

It will be McNulty's second stint as the Scarlet Knights' offensive coordinator. He served as OC under Greg Schiano during the 2007-08 seasons before leaving for a decade in the NFL, most recently spent as the Chargers' tight ends coach.

That prior Rutgers experience, and the success during it, is one of the reasons why the hire makes sense for Ash and company. Watch the video above as some of the others are discussed ahead of the official announcement of McNulty's hire on Tuesday.
