Top-ranked Lady Bucs roll against Wallace State-Hanceville

HANCEVILLE – The Shelton State women’s basketball team, ranked No. 1 in the nation in JUCO women’s basketball, kept its perfect record and win streak alive at 21-0 on Saturday with an 86-67 Alabama Community College Conference win at Wallace State-Hanceville.

Cierra Johnson, who, earlier in the week was named the JUCO national and ACCC Player of the Week, was the game's high scorer with 22 points. Maggie Robinson scored 14 points. Dana Echols had 11 points and four steals, and Ashley Scott had 11 rebounds and eight points.

Leading Wallace State with 16 points was Joy Sadler.

The Lady Buccaneers are 2-0 in league play going into Tuesday evening’s home game against Snead State.
