Leeds’ 1-0 defeat at Ipswich yesterday saw them fall out of the Championship play-off spots and Christiansen is battling a mounting injury and suspension list which threatens to derail their campaign.
Three players have already been signed this month but only one of the new arrivals - left-back Laurens De Bock - will go straight into the first-team squad.
Speaking after the Ipswich loss, Christiansen was asked if discussions will take place this week, and he said: ”We will talk.”
Christiansen admitted on Friday he would like a new striker to bolster his attack but his squad lacks depth in a number of areas after a series of setbacks this week.

We will talk
Right-back Luke Ayling was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury, playmaker Samuel Saiz picked up a six-game ban for his spit in the FA Cup defeat at Newport County while central midfielder Eunan O’Kane saw red at Ipswich.
When asked if the string of blows will change Leeds’ attitude towards the transfer window, Christiansen replied: “Well, in the same line of course we have lost now Luke Ayling, Samu and now Eunan for the next games, important games but we will see what we can do.”

To cap off Christiansen’s nightmare week, Bersant Celina’s wonder goal condemned Leeds to defeat at Portman Road.
When asked how difficult a week it had been for him, he admitted: “Very tough, very tough.
“But like the players in the second half, we are warriors and want to fight back.”
