The trend of hiring a professional photographer to capture precious moments and important events of one’s life is on the rise these days. Be it a pre-wedding photoshoot, a maternity photoshoot, or for simply taking a family photograph, people seek professional services to ensure they get the best shots that will form a part of their memories forever. However, a family’s decision to hire a professional for a shoot went horribly wrong when the end results were photographs in which they weren’t even looking like “humans”! One of the family members recently shared the pictures from the shoot on Facebook and recounted the incident. The pictures have gone viral in no time. Apparently, the “professional” photographer didn’t know how to edit the shots, and the results were disastrous pictures of the family. What’s more surprising is the fact that the family does not want a refund. Why? Simply because of the “pleasure” they have had in seeing the bizarre images!

The family is based in Missouri. It comprises Dave and Pam Zaring, who got married three years ago. In 2017, they decided to get some great pictures shot of their blended family. In May, the family claims that they were contacted by a middle-aged woman who claimed to be an experienced photographer. The family decided to go ahead with a shoot and went to St. Louis to meet the lady. The couple was accompanied by their sons, Cade, 12, and Connor, eight, and Dave’s mum Sharon. The family paid USD 250 for the shoot and were informed that the photographs would reach them a few months later, after she had edited them. However, they were left shocked when they received a disc of the photos in which they didn’t even look human.
Here is the Facebook post shared by Pam Dave Zaring:
In the Facebook post, Pam states that when the couple and her sons saw the finished photographs, they laughed more than they had in years as their features were altered beyond recognition. The bizarre yet funny images have been shared over 300,000 times on Facebook. TV station KCEN quotes Pam saying, “I’ve never laughed this hard in my life. My kids were so confused. They thought we were playing a joke on them. They just kept saying they looked like Lego people.” The photographer claims that the pictures are “shadowy” owing to the sunny weather and that she hadn’t been taught how to retouch her shots. The bizarre images have left the family in splits, and they have decided not to ask the photographer for a refund.
