One dead in Rakwana shooting

One person was killed in a shooting incident in Labuwelwatte on the Kohombakanda - Rakwana main road last night (Jan. 13).

The shooting took place at around 8 pm and the victim died upon admitting to Kahawatte Hospital with head injuries.

The deceased was a resident of Labuwelwatte and was aged 69 years.

Police found a bullet and a motorcycle left behind at the crime scene.
