Alexis Sanchez: Arsene Wenger gives transfer update after Bournemouth defeat
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger says Alexis Sanchez is "half in half out" amid reports he is closing in on a move to Manchester United.
Sanchez was left out of the Arsenal squad which travelled to Bournemouth for the lunchtime kick-off.
And without him, the Gunners struggled badly and despite taking the lead with Hector Bellerin, lost 2-1 to the Cherries.
Sanchez appears to be on the brink of joining Manchester United with Manchester City unwilling to meet Arsenal's asking price.
And speaking after the match, Wenger said he left Sanchez out of the team to focus on the game.

Wenger said: "Half in half out, you never know this kind of situation during the transfer period.
"That is why I decided to focus on the game."
Arsenal's defeat means they have picked up just 13 points after 12 Premier League away games, which is their worst record at this stage of a season since 2005-06.
