LIMA — The Bradfield Community Center, West Ohio Community Action Partnership and The Ohio State University SNAP-Ed Program have created a workshop series to help empower families in the Lima community.
“Refresh, Revive, Renew You” offers 10 workshops to cover topics of nutrition, family, money and stress relieving tips. Each workshop will consist of a SNAP-Ed nutrition lesson, where the family will help prepare a meal to eat during the training and have food to take home after. During the meal time parents will discuss parenting and family topics with West Ohio CAP’s Most Valuable Parents Program coach and receive financial tips and advice.
The program is free and each session will include the free dinner for parents and children as well as free prizes for attendance. Child care is also provided at no charge.
The workshops will be on Wednesday evenings at The Bradfield Community Center, 550 S. Collett St., Lima from 5-7 p.m. The first workshop beginsJan. 24. For more information or to register for the program, call Ginger Loscavo at 419-227-2586 ext. 131.
