Liverpool table first bid for AC Milan star Suso as they aim to replace Philippe Coutinho
LIVERPOOL have made a first bid for AC Milan star Suso as Jurgen Klopp aims to replace Philippe Coutinho, reports say.
Liverpool are on the lookout for January reinforcements as they aim to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona last weekend.
Riyad Mahrez, Thomas Lemar and Alexis Sanchez have all been tipped to move to Anfield with the Reds now having £142million at their disposal.
But Italian newspaper Tuttosport say the club have launched a shock bid to try and bring Suso back to Merseyside, despite the Spaniard previously being regarded as a flop.
Suso signed for Liverpool in 2012 during Brendan Rodgers’ time in charge, where he was expected to kick on and become a huge Reds hit.

But it did not happen for the 24-year-old, with Suso managing just 14 top flight appearances.
After a couple of loan spells, the player left Liverpool permanently for Serie A giants AC Milan in 2014.
In the time since, however, Suso has blossomed in Italy and established himself as one of the most creative players in the league.
His fine displays even saw him capped by Spain and there is a chance he could make their World Cup squad at the end of the season.
Tuttosport say, however, that Suso is not interested in returning to his old club.
He would instead prefer to stick it out at Milan and help Gennaro Gattuso’s side pick up the points.
Meanwhile, speaking in 2016, Suso claimed that his decision to leave Liverpool had benefitted his career.
”At Liverpool there was no going forward and I needed an opportunity,” he said.
”That’s why I chose Milan, who for me are a top European club. It was hard at first but then I was given an opportunity.”
