The Skyhawks improved to 13-2 with a 63-52 win over Southern Connecticut State in New Haven.
Samantha Hyslip reached a milestone by scoring her 1,000th career point during the fourth quarter, becoming the 31st player in program history tor each that number.
Hyslip, who scored her 1,000th with a foul shots early in the fourth quarter, led the winners with 17 points and 15 rebounds (tying a career best) for her 15th career double-double.
Kelly Martin added 13 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Courtney Walsh chipped in with 10 points and Elizabeth Grip made 4 of 5 shots and scored nine points.
Stonehill (9-1) remains one-half game behind Bentley University (10-1) in the Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division.
The Skyhawks, who trailed, 17-9 after one quarter, pulled even at 30 at halftime before outscoring the Owls, 16-7, in the third quarter.
Westfield State 98, Bridgewater State 88: The Bears rallied to take a one-point lead in the fourth quarter but were unable to overcome the hosts. BSU went up, 73-72, with 8:12 to go for its final lead.
Chanelle Melton of Brockton had 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for the Bears while Jennifer Whyte hit six 3-pointer for a 18 points.
Kailyn Aguiar had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals and Kayla Carter scored 12 points for BSU (4-10, 1-1 in the MASCAC).
Regis 74, Simmons 58: Brittany Stone of West Bridgewater had 21 points on 10 of 14 shooting plus seven rebounds as the Pride improved to 5-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
Men’s basketball
Stonehill 96, Southern Connecticut 80: Brandon Twitty of Randolph scored 20 of his 34 points in the second half as the Skyhawks rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to win on the road.
Twitty was 13 for 17, hitting 5 of 6 shots from 3-point range, as Stonehill improved to 9-7, 5-5 in the NE-10.
The Skyhawks scored 56 second-half points after being down, 52-40.
Will Moreton added 22 points and 11 rebounds, Dan Largey had 18 points and KJ Lee scored 10 points.
Bridgewater State 84, Westfield State 44: The Bears won their fifth straight game, improving to 9-6 and 2-0 in the MASCAC.
Rayshon Ward of Plymouth had 22 points and nine rebounds in the road victory while Rocky DeAndrade (19 points, five rebounds) and Joseph Carty (10 points, eight rebounds) were also in double figures.
BSU held Westfield State to 23 percent shooting.
Eastern Nazarene 69, Curry 59: Josh Rice of Hanson had 15 points while Brenndan Rogers of Hanson added nine points in the win.
Boston College 86, Dartmouth 72: Ky Bowman scored 19 points and Jerome Robinson added 17 points as the Eagles (12-6) defeated the Big Green (4-10) in a non-league game in Chestnut Hill.
Men’s track &field
BSU’s Williamson first: Cameron Williamson of Easton placed first in the triple jump (45-111/4 at the Tufts Invitational to lead Bridgewater State.
Lamont Haynes was third in the 600, Joe Keough took fourth in the 1,000, Austin James was fifth in the shot put, Austin Maskell was sixth in the weight throw and Kyle Cordeiro was seventh in the 200.
Women’s track & field
BSU’s Andrews wins: Jayci Andrews won the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles and was on a winning relay team for BSU at the Tufts Invitational.
Andrews joined Tess Miller, Molly McNamara and Madeline McNamara to finish first in the 4x200 relay.
Kira Gilbreath won the shot put and took third in the weight throw for the Bears.
Miller was fourth in the 600 and Jenise Madden took fifth in the 3,000.
Hockey
Saint Anselm 5, Stonehill 0: Goaltender Matthew Schoen made 33 saves for the Skyhawks (4-9-1, 2-3-1 NE-10) in the loss at the Warrior Ice Arena.
