Asked about Karunanidhi reportedly meeting the cadre on Pongal day, Stalin, talking to media persons on the sidelines of Pongal celebrations here, said, “Doctors will be consulted. If they agree, efforts will be made (for the meeting).” On observing Pongal as Tamil New Year day, Stalin referred to the reversal of the GO providing for observing January 14 as Tamil New Year by the AIADMK regime and said the DMK would return to power soon and it would be restored then.
