IMC commissioner orders Zonal officers to check areas

Following the instructions of Mayor Malini Laxman Singh Gaud for maintaining cleanliness in the city, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Commissioner Manish Singh has instructed the zonal officers, health officers and CSI to keep a check at their respective areas.

Under the series, the officials concerned are seizing the cars and other vehicles which are parked from a long time at the same location, obstructing the cleanliness drive.

While taking the action, 22 cars from Bhamori area including two busses and 20 four-wheelers were seized. Besides, a spot fine of `60,000 was imposed on the owners of those respective vehicles.

In the same series, 20 vehicles from Choithram to Manik Bagh and Transport Nagar were seized.

In the seized vehicles, there were two busses and 18 were four wheelers. During the action, Removal Officers Virendra Upadhyay, Bablu Kalyane and removal squad was present.

Meanwhile, following the instructions of the Mayor and IMC Commissioner Manish Singh, the officials are imposing spot fine against the citizens who litter garbage at public places and on the streets of the city.

Under this, a spot fine of `25000 was imposed at Rishi Motors, Mechanic Nagar Bhimori for littering in the surroundings. Similarly, a spot fine of `2000 was imposed at Suman Raghuwanshi of Royal Beach Hostel for disposing off the kitchen garbage directly in the drainage line.

Besides, spot fine of `1000 was imposed at Krishna Milk Dairy for using polythene. Further, 9 kilos of polythene was also seized from the dairy. Similarly, for selling milk in polythene bags, a spot fine of ` 5000 was imposed at Laxmi Narain Milk Dairy.

During the action, health officer Dr Uttam Yadav and CSI Vinay Khare along with removal squad were present.
