Crow Wing County schedules road maintenance for this week

Crow Wing County maintenance crews will continue brush and tree removal in the road right of ways on County Road 159 in Nokay Lake Township, between North Nelson and Crooked roads, and on County Highway 3 in Crosslake and Mission Township.

Crews will also begin brushing activities on County Highway 8 in Bay Lake Township near the Clearwater Lake access. Chipping of the smaller brush will take place at the site. The crews will cut and place larger trees at the back of the road right of way for property owners.

Crews will work on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

Mowing of vegetation in county ditches will also take place in the Pine Center, Deerwood and Brainerd areas.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
