Mr. Stephen L. and Mrs. Jacqueline Johnson of Chapin are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Justin Lewis Priddy, to Daniela Patricia Corona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Carmen Fencel of Summerville and Mr. and Mrs. Jorge Corona of Culiacan, Mexico.

The bride-elect, a resident of Charleston, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marco Davila and Mr. and Mrs. John Fencel. A 2014 graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, she is employed with Aerotek as a recruiter.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Charleston, is also the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Sandra Priddy of Richmond, Virginia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Morrison Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond B. Priddy, all of Richmond. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a double major in marketing and management and a minor in retail. He is employed with Ferguson Enterprise as general manager.

The couple plan an April wedding in Summerville with a reception in Charleston.

In her own words

Q: How did you meet?

A: Met at a bar at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach through mutual friends. He won me over with his charm and dance moves.

Q: When did you know your fiance was “the one”?

A: I knew he was the one when I was able to be myself around him, and whenever we were apart, I felt as if I was missing a part of me.

Q: Tell us about the proposal.

A: Justin told me we were going to eat lunch with my family in downtown Charleston. We arrived downtown, and he suggested we walk to the pineapple fountain before going to eat lunch. When we arrived at the pineapple, I was distracted by some ladies doing yoga. I looked away, and as soon as I did, he was down on his knee. Getting straight to the point, he asked me to marry him. All I could ask was, “Are you serious?!” After reality hit, I said yes! His family and my family came running from every direction toward us with open arms and tears of joy. We enjoyed a nice lunch with our families, followed by a romantic dinner at the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island.
