QUINCY — The Illinois Central College women's basketball team got back on track Saturday with a 50-38 road victory over John Wood.
The nationally ranked Cougars (13-5) had lost three of four games coming into the weekend, while John Wood had won five of six.
No. 7 ICC jumped ahead 23-9 at the 6:54 mark of the second quarter and held on behind a balanced offensive effort. Jasmine Levy scored 11 to lead ICC, which also got nine from Krystal Walker and eight points and five steals from Bailey Larson.
Abby Coates led the way with 10 rebounds as ICC outboarded the hosts 44-28.
Autumn Voigt scored 10 to lead John Wood (5-12).
