The popular presenter is regularly asked to do reality shows – and has turned down every offer.
But she would jump at the chance to be put through her paces by tough-talking former soldiers.
Lorraine told The Daily Star Sunday: “I’ve always said I’ll never do I’m A Celebrity… there’s no chance of me ever signing up.
“I wouldn’t do Big Brother in a million years. And I don’t want to do MasterChef because I can’t cook.

“The only show I’d ever consider doing is the one where you’re in the SAS. I’d rather do challenges like falling off a cliff backwards than eat a kangaroo’s arse, frankly.”
SAS: Who Dares Wins features a group of brave “recruits” being trained by former Special Forces soldiers.
Experts, including Ant Middleton, recreate the unit’s gruelling selection process – dubbed “the ultimate test of physical and psychological resilience”.
The show is currently in its third series, with the action continuing tonight on Channel 4.

At 58, Lorraine is twice the age of many of the contestants.
She said: “I don’t think I’d actually be any good. I’m not really very sporty. But I do like to push myself…I like challenges.
“I think it would be a really amazing thing to do. At my age I don’t know how I’d get on. But if I had to do a reality show of some kind that would be the one I’d do.”
Lorraine’s persona is a world away from the SAS.
Millions of viewers have watched her on breakfast TV over the past three decades taking part in a stream of cosy celeb chats.
But she is ready to show fans a different side and wants to give acting a go.
Lorraine said: “I’ve wanted a part in a big show for years. I once asked if I could be in Taggart. I told them I wouldn’t be any good at acting but wanted to do it for a laugh.
“I was going to play a corpse, but then the show finished so it never happened. I would have been face-down so no-one would have known it was me.
“And I wouldn’t mind being a patient on Holby City too…or I could be a nurse.”
You can watch Lorraine in the BBC One show Wedding Day Winners on Saturday night.
