Two people died Saturday when their vehicle plunged into a Burlington County lake, authorities said.
The accident involved two vehicle which collided at the jug handle on northbound Route 130 at Bridgeboro Road, according to Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman Joel Bewley.
The crash caused one of the vehicles to go down an embankment and into a lake adjacent to the roadway, Bewley said.
Both occupants in that vehicle died, he said.
The crash was reported around 5 p.m.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating, along with the Willingboro Township Police Department, Bewley said.
No other details were immediately available as the probe into the crash continued late Saturday, Bewley said.
