CREATIVE youngsters have been using their artistic skills to help promote an anti-litter campaign in their hometown.
Children at Tow Law Millennium Primary School were challenged to design posters to spread the word about keeping their town tidy as part of the It’s Your Town Project. Funded by the 3 Towns Area Action Partnership, the project saw members of Durham County Council’s civic pride team deliver a special assembly about the correct ways to dispose of litter. The project has now been delivered in five schools, with one winner chosen from each.
At Tow Law Millennium, the judges chose Ellis Croft as the winner. The youngster received a gift voucher, presented to him by the council’s anti-litter mascot, Tidy Ted His design will also be turned into a poster which will be displayed across Tow Law.
