College track and field: Saints' Shofner wins twice

St. Scholastica senior Breanna Shofner of International Falls won two races Friday night at the St. Thomast Opener in St. Paul.

Shofner claimed the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 34 feet, 5.5 inches and then was part of the winning 800-meter relay which outdueled Gustavus Adolphus College by 10 seconds with a time of 1:49.84. Sammi Argir of Chisholm, Anika Kling and Katelyn Leiden also ran on the winning relay.
