Jahangirnagar University Day was celebrated yesterday through various programmes on the campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam inaugurated the event, participated by former and current students, employees, officers and teachers.
Marking the 47th anniversary, the university wore a festive look. The programmes included a puppet show, photography exhibition and cultural functions.
VC of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University Prof Mohammad Alauddin, JU Pro-VC (academic) Prof Abul Hossain, Pro-VC (administration) Prof Amir Hussain, Treasurer Prof Sheikh Monjurul Huq and former VC Prof Shariff Enamul Kabir were also present.
