Kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart will tell her story on Jan. 22 to the Florida Children & Youth Cabinet.

Scent Evidence K9, a Tallahassee-based provider of trained scent K9s and other scent collection technology, is hosting Smart. Her arrival is timed with the annual Children's Week the capitol.

In 2002, Smart was kidnapped at knifepoint from her home in Salt Lake City. She was held captive for nine months before she was rescued by police. Her kidnapping became a national story. Now, Smart is an advocate for missing persons and survivors of violence, kidnapping and sexual abuse.
