Harry Kane double helps Tottenham go level with Liverpool

Well that brings an end to our live coverage for another Saturday in the Premier League. Tottenham round it off with another virtuoso performance as Harry Kane gets on the scoresheet.

We're back tomorrow with two stellar games, headlined by Liverpool against Manchester City.

But until then, its goodbye.

Full time: Tottenham 4-0 Everton

Just about as comprehensive as you wish to see from Tottenham. Two for Harry Kane and one each for Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen takes Spurs level on points with fourth place Liverpool. Everton were woeful and once they went behind were merely in survival mode.

One goal still needed to take Spurs into fourth in the table outright, though they are destined to go level on points with Liverpool.

Christian Eriksen off in the closing minutes as Erik Lamela comes on.

One of the goals of the season from Spurs, who have been super slick in this second half. Kane, Son and Alli all combine before Eriksen curls home from the edge of the box. Tottenham are going fourth as things stand.

That should be four for Spurs. Son and then Alli is denied by Pickford, who stood up to the bombardment of efforts on his goal.

Eric Dier off and Victor Wanyama on as his recovery from a knee injury continues.

Cenk Tosun off and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on for Everton. A good hour from the Turk on his debut, and it won't get much more difficult than that.

This could get messy for Everton now. Aurier turns provider again as his cross finds Kane, whose scruffy finish finds the back of the net. And still 30 minutes to go.

Should really be three for Tottenham as Dele Alli goes through on goal but it is the side-netting he finds from the angle. Everton could go down hard here.

Two minutes into the second half but you'd be tempted to venture that is game over. Son Heung-Min nips the ball ahead of Kenny shots across goal - a la Aurier in the first half - and Kane is on hand this time, potentially from an offside position, to tap home.

A half of one goal that wasn't and one goal that was.

The one that wasn't saw Wayne Rooney's header chalked off for offside, a great decision in a week which has seen VAR make its debut in English football.

Son Heung-Min took advantage of the one that was with a simple finish from Serge Aurier's cross-shot, to score for a fifth home league game in a row.

Everton threaten as we approach the final five minutes of the first half. Tosun is again involved and when his pull back can't find Sigurdsson he visitors recycle the ball.
