(MENAFN) Following the US hotel corporation Marriott International registering of several Chinese territories as "countries" in a mail survey, foreign enterprises has been urged by a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson to have respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of China.
During a press briefing, spokesperson Lu Kang emphasized China to include among its territories Taiwan, Macao, Tibet and Hong Kong. He stressed the information to be the international community's consensus along with a fundamental fact.
The spokesperson declared "we welcome foreign enterprises to do business in China. Meanwhile, they should respect China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, abide by Chinese law, and respect the Chinese peoples' feelings, which are the foundation for any corporation to do business in any country."
