People in Hawaii got an emergency alert Saturday warning them about an incoming ballistic missile.
It was a false alarm.
The alert didn't contain many details.
It instructed people to seek shelter and noted "this is not a drill." Almost immediately people on Twitter speculated the alert was a mistake or the result of a hack.
Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency tweeted there is no missile threat to the islands.
It's unclear why the alert went out.
