Authorities in Bessemer confirm they are investigating a shooting that happened on Saturday afternoon.

We're told the shooting happened on Gary Avenue in a neighborhood near the intersection of Lakeshore Parkway and Highway 150.

Both Bessemer Police and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
