SOUTHBRIDGE - Five Worcester residents, including two youths, are facing charges involving the reported robbery of a marijuana customer at gunpoint.
The victim told an off-duty police officer he was robbed Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms on Main Street after buying marijuana for a friend.
With a description of the vehicle the suspects fled in, police stopped a car near the intersection of Worcester Street and Brookside Road. In the car, police found Aziz Sawadogo, 18, the driver, and passengers Daniel Silverio, 20, Heriberto Lopez, 19, and two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, all of Worcester. All were charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Mr. Lopez was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after a .22-caliber Derringer was found in the vehicle. The 17-year-old was held on a warrant, and released to the state Department of Youth Services. The 16-year-old was released to a parent.
