Three women were killed in Peel Region in what area residents call a disturbing night of violence.
Two children were also taken to hospital in the two separate deadly incidents.
Peel Regional Police Homicide detectives are at the residential scenes investigating the region’s latest three murder victims — two in Brampton and one in Mississauga.
The first call was on Starhill Cr., near Dixie Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy. E., where two women were found slain around 10:45 p.m. Friday in a home that had four people inside.
The victims — a woman, 32, and her mother, 60 — are thought to have been stabbed to death.
A 29-year-old man, believed to be the husband of one of the victims, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
A child was also in the home but was not physically hurt.

A neighbour, who didn’t know the family living directly across the street, said they moved in just over a year ago.
“It is very sad what has happened here,” said Richard, who didn’t give his last name. “It’s like most neighbours, you don’t really know who they are nowadays.”
“I did see an older man man who would walk a little child,” he said, adding the man and his wife appeared to be in their early 30s.
Two police cruisers sat out front of the two-storey home, which was cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape.
The front porch’s screen door flapped back in forth in the wind and inside a pair of shoes could be seen on the a rug next to a folded up baby buggy.
Over on Marmac Cr., near Winston Churchill Blvd. and west of The Collegeway, neighbours are stunned by an ugly incident in which a women was found stabbed to death in a house around 1 a.m. Saturday.

A man was forcefully arrested and suffered injuries.
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit says it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the 61-year-old man’s injuries in the wake of the “domestic incident.”
“Soon after arriving at the residence, there was an interaction between police officers and the man,” spokesman Monica Hudon said in a statement released Saturday. “The man was taken into custody and subsequently transported to hospital where he was diagnosed with a serious injury.”
Two children also suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remain.
No charges have been announced but, like the Brampton case, they are expected soon.

The carnage has upset many in the area. One murder is a bad night in Peel.
But three has rocked the region.
People having Saturday morning breakfast inside the Ido Cafe were upset — many wondering about the identity of the woman who was killed on nearby Marmac Cr.
“You feel nothing bad happens around you out here but that’s not true,” area resident Kathy Duffy said. “I think it is a dangerous time for woman right now in general.”
But to lose three women in one night — and have children rushed to hospital — is heartbreaking.
“This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the victims and the family, as well as the local community,” Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie said. “Nobody should experience this type of violence. ”
“I do not want to speculate as I know Peel Police are investigating and will have more details in the days to come,” she added.
