BROOKSVILLE — An 84-year-old man from Weeki Wachee died Friday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Just after 2 p.m., Ryszard Roman Cwiklik was heading west on Country Road in a 2015 Nissan Rogue toward U.S. 19. Then he traveled across the north and southbound lanes of U.S. 19, entering the path of a 2017 Nissan Murano heading south, troopers said.
Cwiklik’s Nissan overturned, coming to a final rest on the southbound outside shoulder. He died at the scene, troopers said.
The occupants of the other Nissan, Robert and Grace Campbell, were taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries.
