Science model making contest from Jan 17-19 in city

HUBBALLI: Agastya International Foundation will organise 'Ji gnyasa-2018', a national-level science model making competition-cum-exhibition for three days from January 17 to 19 in Hubballi.

Agastya Foundation's regional manager Anil Joshi said the event will be held at the Deshpande Foundation's new building near airport on Gokul Road in Hubballi.


Jignyasa-2018 is an exclusive national-level science model making competition with the sole objective of fostering scientific curiosity, and creativity among students and teachers. It is a platform to exhibit, share knowledge and passion for science through interaction with peers and audience, he added.


The competition will be held in two categories - higher primary and high school. This time seven laptops will be given as prizes to the winners, he said.


A total 120 projects have been selected and nearly 1,400 synopsis have been received from 10 states. About 15,000 students are expevted to visit the venue during the three-day event.
